JA's Wedding Preparation Part 4 ~ Bride Dowry (嫁妆)...

Chinese traditional wedding really spent a lot of money..:(

Jimmy and I went to buy some wedding stuffs which requested by parents as it is traditional ceremony..We have to follow it..At the beginning, I'm the one keep on fighting with parents as I do not want to follow traditional..

However, at the end, I'm the loser..I follow whatever they want..But, I understand about their request..They just don't want people gossip about us..:) So, we went to shopping again la..Hehe..

It is easy to get a chilli red color umbrella..However, it is really difficult to get a chilli red umbrella that I like..:( I went to so many shops, they only sell those with "lace" which I don't like at all..:( Finally, I got my "dream umbrella" at Watson..Hehe..Yeah!! Mission DONE!!

JA's Wedding Preparation Part 3 ~ Wedding Table Lamp (喜灯)..

Last month Jimmy and I attended a wedding dinner at KL..We stayed overnight at Yeelie's studio house..Hehe..I love her studio house very much..Simple and nice..Hehe..

The next day we went to Ikea..Hehe..Surprisingly, we saw a table lamp and we love it in first sight..Haha..It is simple and yet nice..We decided to buy them as our wedding table lamps..:P

Actually we did not plan to buy any table lamp as we had 2 "Apple Lamp"..However, my mum insists us to buy a new set as these table lamps are very important (in traditional)..They are representing "increase family member (添丁)"..At the end, we have bought it..

Again, we did not choose those wedding table lamp which has "HEI" word..It is because we hope that these lamps can use for other purpose after our actual day..Hehe..Thus, we will paste a "HEI" sticker on it during our actual day..

JA's Wedding Preparation Part 2 ~ Wedding Tea Pot Set (结婚茶具)...

Jimmy and I decided to buy "untypical" wedding tea pot set for our tea ceremony purpose..Hehe..What is the meaning of "untypical"? :P

The tea pot set that we chose is without "HEI" (喜) word..We prefer to paste the "HEI" sticker ourselves during our tea ceremony..Funny?? I admitted that sometimes my thought is a bit "strange"..:P

I hope that our parents will not mind at that moment..Hahaha..But I really love it very much (Somemore the price is reasonable for me)..Hehe..:P

I got a Pancake recipe from 树荫下..I decided to make this for Jimmy Zai..Hehe..It is quite simple and easy..:P

食谱抄自： 树荫下

材料：
150g 自发面粉
50g 细砂糖
1/4tsp 盐
110ml 牛奶
1粒 蛋
1tbsp 粟米油

做法：
1）将面粉，细砂糖及盐混合，再加入蛋，牛奶及油，用搅拌器搅拌均匀。
2）烧热平底锅（不粘锅），用舀匙将一大匙面糊倒入锅，慢火煎至两面呈金黄色即可。
3）可淋上喜爱的淋酱趁热享用。

This time I bought Mango Yogurt Drink to bake chiffon cake..Hehe..And, finally, I success!! Yeah, my chiffon cake is soft and tasty..Thanks to my Jimmy Zai for the helping..:)

Ab's Cooking Journey...Part 34...~Mango Yogurt Chiffon Cake~

Since I bought the chiffon cake mold, I always google about chiffon cake's recipe..Hehe..This time I would like to bake Mango Yogurt Chiffon Cake..

When I buy the Mango Yogurt, I forgot the about the recipe is stating Mango Yogurt or Mango Yogurt Drink..Finally I chose Mango Yogurt..Unfortunately, my guess is wrong..It should be Mango Yogurt Drink..Since I have bought it, I just proceed with my journey..:(

This time I would like to use my Convection Cooker (a gift from my colleagues) to bake..After 30 minutes, the cake still raw..I baked again for 10 minutes..It still raw..I baked again for 10 minutes..It still raw..:(

I was so upset and disappointed..Finally I put it into my oven and baked for another 10 minutes..Finally, finally it is done..But I was so moody at that moment..:(

My Mango Yogurt Chiffon Cake is soft but quite moisture..The taste just normal only..:(

Ab's Cooking Journey...Part 33...~Traditional Mooncake~

Mooncake Festival is around the corner..One day, Jimmy found that there is recipe of making Traditional Mooncake in The Star newspaper..He told me that we can try out for this..Hehe..Look!! He is really more excited than me in Ab's Cooking Journey..Maybe I need to rename Ab's Cooking Journey to JA's Cooking Journey..Hehe..Wow, sounds good..Hahaha..

So coincidence, one of my colleague - Gan, she has interest to make Traditional Mooncake also..I invited her to JA house and bake together..Hehe..

After bought the ingredients, we started our journey..Hehe..At the beginning, we felt that the process is quite complicated..After awhile, we felt that it is quite simple and easy..Hehe..

Our homemade Mooncake looked quite nice and it is tasty also..Hehe..We are quite satisfied with our result..Hehe..Yeah Yeah!!

Ab's Cooking Journey...Part 32...~Black Sesame Chiffon Cake~

I was so eagerly to bake chiffon cake..Finally I bought a chiffon cake mold..Hehe..I have googled quite some time about chiffon cake recipe..Finally I decided to bake Black Sesame Chiffon Cake..:P

Last time I always bake in my house without the participation of Jimmy..After we moved into our JA House, I found that he is quite exciting when I bake..Hehe..Besides, he even wants to take part in the baking progress..Hehe..

The first bake is quite successful..The cake is soft though the top layer had burned..Hehe..Luckily, chiffon cake always removes from mold by turning up side down..Thus, the burned layer had been turned to bottom..Hehe..
